writing this real quick to 1. test how everything looks, and 2. test if the setup flow of this blog thing works—it’s just manually stuck together with a bit of pandoc so i can write in markdown, so it might take a bit of shaking to get it to work. maybe one day i’ll write the obligatory how-this-site-works blog post but i don’t really care enough to get into it.
blog! i’ve wanted to set something up for long-form thoughts for a while—something off tumblr/fedi where i can control how it’s distributed and where i can move hosts if needed. this year i’m hoping to watch more films so i’ll write a post about what i want to do with that soon… i might also put more measured criticism/media thoughts here; maybe author’s notes on writing? something like that! i’d like to keep doing this semi-consistently, if only to get into the habit of thinking/writing more slowly and more long-ly.
